Business is Blossoming

The saying is true..."You will get out, what you put in". This saying is oh so true for starting and operating your business. I never thought that being a business owner would mean so much responsibility, dedication, and hard work. You really have to discipline yourself to manage all facets of your business, and networking is a huge advantage to small business owners, and newly established/uprising business owners. I have attended more networking events and seminars within these past 4 months combined than I have in my entire life....and it is absolutely wonderful. It has caused an increased in my cake sales, and I am making lots of new friends. I am also gaining exposure to other great businesses right here in my area that I would have had no other knowledge about. If you are a business owner, or aspiring to own your own business, my weekly words of encouragement to you is to NETWORK!!! You can't lose when you connect with others. Have a great week, remember to do something great to inspire or empower others.

New Ideas through Networking

This has been another wonderful week! I climbed out of my shell, decided to attend a few networking events. meet & greets, and wow!!! I made some wonderful connections over the past week. I am truly blessed to have been introduced to such wonderful people in which I can now add to my circle of friends. My business has truly been a blessing from God in which I can also share ideas, and inspire others as we cross paths. Today I began prepping the administrative tasks for my upcoming VIP Tasting Event. This event will be on March 18th from 5pm to 7pm. This is my first "tasting" event, and I am really excited about it. I am looking forward to meeting lots of new people....and baking a variety of things for my guests to sample. Don't worry, I will definitely take pictures and post them to the blog for those of you too far away to attend, or locals who aren't able to make it. Continue to reach for the stars this week. Do something extraordinary, and try to always be a blessing to others!

Eventful week

This past week was very eventful. I was able to attend several networking events, meet some wonderful people and learn more about some of the non-profit agencies in my community. It always gives me great pleasure to know that every little bit counts, and that by volunteering my time, I too can help change or even save the live of another. I challenge each of you today to volunteer within your community to do something positive that will promote a difference.

This past week

Wow! I had a blast this past week. I met a lot of nice new people in the world of small business entrepreneurs this week, and I am sooo looking forward to collaborating our talents in the near future to produce and create something big!!! I am preparing my calendar now for next week's schedule and again I know that I will be encountered by smiling new faces of creative entrepreneurs looking to collaborate.

My thought of the week: Dream big and big things will happen for you!

Welcome

Welcome to my blogger!

Cynnamon Chokolate Desserts & Treats was established in November 2009. After working in Corporate America for the past 17 years, I finally decided to take a leap of faith, and turn my passion for baking into a business.

I enjoy baking food and desserts that comfort the soul with a southern touch. My specialties includes Pound Cakes, Sugar Cookies, and Soft Crust Cobblers. One unique attribute about my business is that all dessert orders are packaged with love in a uniquely designed box.

We serve the Mooresville/Lake Norman, NC areas. Please visit our website at www.cynnamonchokolate.com or send me an email (tommi@cynnamonchokolate.com) to learn more about our business and how we can serve you.
